@ AT,my 8 yr old daughter has had strep for the past 3 months,?

The first 2 months she was put on amoxicillin twice and Friday(2 days ago) pediatrician put her on Augment and besides it being so horrible awful ad she is taking it with some coaching,pleading etc.My daughter has not ate hardly anything since friday due to nausea and throwing up a couple times.Also diarrhea is so bad it just pours ot of her like water with no end in sight.The info from the Pharmacy says if those side effects persist or worsen to call your Dr or Pharmacist promptly. I was reading info online about Omnicef, do you think that is a good choice for someone who cant take Augmentin? The Dr thinks that the strep has stayed hidden in the crevices of her tonsils. we need something that will kick it out of there with as dangerous that strep is.I will be calling her pediatrician though it is Sunday I will get the nurse line and I am not sure if I will hear back from the Dr today.Can you let me know if you think the Omnicef is strong enough? From everything that I have read it sounds like a good choice for a child that has had Strep 3 months in a row? Thank You.
