How hard is it The Pharm D(school of pharmacy) to become a pharmacist?

I know first you have to take the pre pharmacy curriculum in order to get in the Pharm D program, how long does it take to finish both programs, and meanwhile u are going to skoo for that can u start working before u get ut Pharm,D degree?
