Your reaction to short term prednisone?

How did you react with a 10 day prescription to prednisone? The dermatologist. said take it if my contact dermatitis doesn't improve, but he said it may cause irritability or depression or even hip bone erosion that could lead to hip replacement surgery. His nurse strongly hinted at not using it. The pharmacist said short term won't hurt. What happened to you and what is your opinion?
